Separate two kinds of dimension
A native body-size chart and a finished garment measurement answer different questions. The John Lewis chart provides height,chest and waist reference rows. That does not establish the sweatshirt’s flat chest width,sleeve length or actual shrinkage allowance. The selected leggings record likewise does not supply a measured garment inseam.
Do not infer ease or flat width
A body chest value must not simply be halved and published as the garment’s laid-flat width. Cut,stretch,ease and construction can differ. The site has not measured a received item,and does not calculate fit from a body chart or convert an adjustable-waist feature into a guaranteed range.
A practical question for the seller
If an actual garment dimension is essential,ask about the exact selected product code,colour and size. A family chart is useful reference context but cannot supply a missing measurement. Keep the seller’s answer separate from the native body chart rather than relabelling one as the other.
