Age is one source label
The selected labels2years,3years and2–3years identify retail sizes. They do not measure an individual child or establish that all brands use the same body dimensions. A product can be listed for a particular age without the site having verified its actual garment measurements.

John Lewis’s UK chart lists2years with92cm height,52.5cm chest and50.5cm waist. Its3years row lists98cm,54cm and52.5cm. Polarn O. Pyret’s UK chart uses2–3years with98cm height,56cm chest and52cm waist. Those are source reference rows,not a cross-brand fit conversion.
A practical buying distinction
A buyer comparing the labels2years and2–3years should keep each brand’s chart beside its product. The same number in an age phrase does not prove matching cut,ease or length. The local finder reports the chart record without accepting child measurements or issuing a suitable-size verdict.
